Use this hot pink ikat fabric bowl to hold a pot succulents or cacti to bring summer zing into your home. It is made in our workshop in France, where we sculpt the fabric, an authentic ikat made from the natural fibers of abaca, hand-woven on backstrap looms by tribespeople of the Philippines. The fabric is called T'nalak, made by members of the T'boli tribe. It is meticulous work. A piece 20-feet long can take as much as two months to create. As a finishing touch, the fabric is polished to a sheen with a piece of shell rubbed by hand all over the length of it.
